It’s not often that you get a performance piece in the middle of a Birthday party, but last Saturday night we were treated to one. It took the boys over an hour to dress up, and the photos don’t show the lengths of detail that they went to (note to self - remember to charge the digi-cam’s batteries before taking a stack of photos needing flash), they had false nails and little rhinestones glued all over them in place of actual jewellry!
I don’t have an issue with people’s sexual orientation, or even gender for that matter. So I am naive in assuming that I deserve to be treated the same way. I usually get on well with gay boys because they tend to be more open about their feelings. But one bitch at the party said some pretty obnoxious things to me which shocked me a bit becuase I couldn’t see any reason for it - we had been talking about wigs for goodness sake - , until I talked about it with one of the other guys and he just said with a knowing nod “He’s a woman-hater”.
This confuses me. How can you hate roughly 50% of the human population? Where does this guy think he came from? A test-tube?

Wow! Kevin makes a great brunette! Im really impressed! He looks way cute!
It is by no means naive to assume that people you have just met will not be rude to you, nor to assume that people will not treat you with prejudice, nor to assume that you deserve to be treated kindly by people you approach with respect and openness. Thank goodness hes the exception rather than the rule.
stupidity comes in many disguises - even cross-dressing gender-bending ones. i worked at for a production on rocky horror for several years, and the number of stupid freaks that reared their mascara-covered heads was boggling at times.
there were also lots of tres culo people. (yes, i just bastardized three languages.)

j-ster - yes Keving is cute as a brunette isn’t he?
seth - well done on the 3 language bastardization!
