I have a shit-load of posts to catch up on and two deadlines to meet by tomorrow morning, but I’m just on a coffee break and this post from Mr Antipixel, plus toting around my ipod mini with it’s earphones have prompted me to a spontaneous coming out….

I have ears that don’t match.

As you can see they seriously don’t match - and I’m not just referring to the piercings either.

Hmmm possibly the pics are a little out of proportion as I took them in 30 seconds but you can still play spot the difference.

My family used to tease me that I was an alien. I can live with that - however it’s driving me nuts that my earphone always drops out of my right ear.

I see headphones in my future.

Imperfection is beauty right?

Gyah who cares ears are ugly anyway.

Unless of course you’re a character in a Haruki Murakami novel.

Speaking of body parts though I must get my nose back to the grindstone…..

• You know, after living with you for, oh, however many years… i never actually noticed how unmatching your ears are! And now that you put them together like that, well, im amazed that i could have missed it!  I guess its lucky they rarely get to meet in this way!

  Actually, i like ears, i dont think they are ugly usually, and i know this great joke about them, come here, its kinda bad, i gotta whisper it…

• Useless Ear Trivia:
  Ears are supposedly like fingerprints.  They are different for everybody.  They are also one of the only body parts that continue growing for your entife life - your nose is another similar body part.

  Personally, I can’t wear those silly ear-plugs.  Try the push in type.

• This earphones are awesome, the provide some of the best sound quality you can find at the low-price range and they are very, very comfortable never dropping out.

  You only can find the white version in asia, they look great with my ipod.

• you mean my nose is going to get BIGGER as i get older?????? Plastic surgury is starting to look more attractive…so to speak.

• I don’t know what planet YOU’RE from.

  Maybe in Japan imperfection is beauty,
  but here in the good ole USA ear symmetry
  is paramount.  Aural appendages are judged
  by strict tolerances.  Maybe the Japanese
  can accept such a tragic physical anomaly,
  but “normal people” are repulsed and horrified.

  Maybe EARBINDING is the key to happiness.
