catching up with the new millenium

Only my Mum would make an international phone call to tell me that she’s sent me an email. Bless her.

It was her first one - and already she had failed the first time round by spelling my initials wrong - ooops.

Now she and my Stepfather are mad surfers (nanchatte) - Pete was very upset that she didn’t raise an eyebrow when he was slavering over the Rolex site. Probably since it doesn’t have an online store (^^)

Actually when she rang earlier on in the week she told me an amusing story about how she had asked one of the contractors up there at the moment who was a uni student to teach her how to send an email. Mum explained that she wanted to send one to her daughter in Japan. Now Mum has always been a bit wary of techie stuff (it’s entertaining watching her use an ATM) but she was determined. Making conversation the student asked Mum what I did over there - at which Mum burst out laughing as she explained I was a web designer.

Definitely NOT a chip off the old block am I.

Anyway Mum and Pete if you are reading this hello!

  • Mum, If you are reading this, we need to talk.  I’m doing a series of cute (read embarrassing) childhood stories of fellow web designers who laughed at me when my dear Mom told the world my childhood stories on my website.  I desperately need you to write some cute stories from MJ’s childhood so that her peers here can get to know her better.  My e-mail address is ultrabob ATMARK t4ac.com

I am dying to hear from you!

    • There are no embarrassing stories from my childhood. I was an angel.

      • Angels don’t have to have their potties with them at all times, I think…
