I’ve always claimed to have arather a black thumb - I tend to be one of those people who does great at keeping pets (and of late babies) healthy and happy - but my plants usually die painful black twisted deaths.
Either I over or under water them.
The concept of fertilizer eludes me.
Soil types?? It’s all dirt to me.
Last year though I challenged myself to grow some useful plants though, hoping the temptation of lovely fresh almost free herbs would spark some previously (well) hidden gardening talent. And it did! I love being able to pluck and chuck fresh herbs into my dishes. The effort has been pretty minimal too much to my surprise - even with the Big Coriander Harvest and Freezing.
Basically I just sprinkled some seeds on dirt and tried to remember to water every couple of days. I definitely recommend trying it. So far not destroyed or killed anyone with poisonous plants…..
