NOT.
Tonight the Boy and I participated in the First International Love Hotel Moblogging Conference.
Except we got communication a bit messed up and didn’t actually end up going to a love hotel.
Ooops.
Which actually turns out was a fortunate thing as I glance outside and see it completely pouring down with rain. We had originally planned to go to a place in Shibuya which has a swimming pool actually in the room - but we’ll just have to save that for next year I guess (^^).
The Boy and I have never been to a love hotel together. You see there are several reasons for visiting a love hotel - perhaps both partners still live with their parents, or they are having an affair, or it’s a one night stand and you’ve missed the last train - or simply for fun in some of the more adventurously decorated ones. The Boy and I have never really had a need to go to one (which is part of the reason why we thought being involved in the “conference” would be fun) - I’ve always lived with open-minded flatmates who don’t mind a few grunts and screams now and then. Of course now we’ve been married and living togeher for over a year so we don’t really care about privacy issues involving other members of a household.
In fact I make a special effort to be loud just to offend my neighbours now.

My boyfriend saw the link on the Gibson blog too last night. Wow, a cyberpunk father has consecrated the Tokyo bloggers! However, I defy anyone to get past the first ten pages of “Idoru”...
Actually I’ve read Idoru about 15 times - it’s my fav one…maybe you’ll be more into it when you get here and have a look around (^^)
Goodness!!!
Anyone interested in a Kansai version? I live in Osaka, which a great “All-Christmas, all the time” themed hotel…or so I’ve heard. *cough*
Wow, sory about the triple post, dunno what happened there!?! I loved Idoru too, all of them, except the collaborations. But i too thought it was cool that you guys got a mention on the gibson blog, well done!
MJ,
We needed a bit of Aussie shouting and hollering at the moblog conference last weekend. Shame you couldn’t make it.
