Have just come back from a computer sabbatical in which I was computer-less for a few days...which probably has helped me to deal with the drama that has evolved from trying to connect to ADSL. Have been driving the poor dude from my new ISP bananas (after I finally got through to him today) and he either feels very sorry for me or is determined to figure out the issue of why I can’t connect to the bastard and is actually coming on on Friday to see for himself what the situation is.

NTT have not been very helpful - they say that it’s because I’m using a English OS and the modem is Japanese but I know that is just a load of crap.

Aaaargh I have so much work to do and am sick of my flaky dial-up connection and this waste of time!!! I’m sick of fucking around with this crap! I’m also pissed off because I don’t usually have too much drama with techie stuff - but my techie world seems to be crumbling down around me lately.

Haven’t actually thrown anything yet - although I’ve just cleaned the apartment aggressively…
