Ok now that earth tremor was a long one with several different directions.
Centre was in Chiba.
4/3 across a lot of Kanto. No tsunami warning issued.
Anyway got me out of bed and going through my personal earthquake drill - turn off gas, secure turtles, turn on nhk, blog (~^)
Update 1:27am - epicentre was on the tip of Chiba 50kms underneath.
Update 1:29am - for you lucky buggers in Tokyo it was a 2 - you probably didn’t even wake up….
Update 1:35am - seems everything is OK. Have a feeling I may be blogging a little bit later for some reason…possibly just paranoia. Anyway going to have a wee and try to get to sleep. If the adrenaline will disperse and let me of course…

>>secure turtles
That made me smile.
Do they have little helmets?
That was a 3 in my part of Tokyo for sure! I was brushing my teeth (ha!)(had to after all that food!!!) and just about to go to bed after another mini-epic chat when the doors started rattling, and then a big shake! Loooooong gentle shake after that… nice one!
It was the first time I have seen an earthquake scare TuTu. She was asleep in the genkan (her new fave resting spot) and I felt the earthquake and then I heard her jump and bounce off the walls. She then bolted into the living room (I was up watching a movie) and she was meowing and looking decidedly nervous.
A lovely bonding moment followed with me cuddling her and telling her it was OK. She was really shaken poor darling.
Oooooooooo we also had an earthquake this afternoon (Mon 20 June) here in Niigata. Quakes again…take care!!!
Ooooo…..here we had an earthquake in Niigata this afternoon too! Shaky quakes again in Japan…..take care!!! I’ve been gradually quake-resistant since last year’s big ones.
ぁぁぁぁ~、また・・・まちがえた(=_=;)
Take care Shina-san!
Turn off the gas and don’t sit near tall shelves!
