Er good morning......
Nothing like a long gentle (?) rolling to get the adrenaline flowing and one up and ready to tackle the day is there?
3 across Tokyo, Chiba, Saitama and Kanagawa.
Epicentre was in Shizuoka. Magnitude 5.7.
No tsunami warning has been issued.
Update: Actually most of you in Tokyo wouldn’t have woken up for that one… in most wards it was only a 2.
Was kind of in 2 parts, the first rumbling woke me up, then there was a pause, then another long rumbling. Turtles were freaked out.

Hello MJ,
Well, what do you know, I Googled “tokyo earthquake reports” to check that little tremble this morning and your site came up as #4. How about that?
Hey, how is everything going? We are still in Tokyo. Let me know how you’re doing some time, ok?
I hope all is going well.
Jeff
My wife asked to me in this morning, was there an earthquake?
I did not know it because I did not wake up at all.(-_-)..zzZZ
3:18am seems a little early to be getting up!!!
G’day MJ,
Either your blog is transforming into an earthquake warning system or these tremors are getting a little too common in the Tokyo area.
A sign of pressure being released (good) or an indication of bigger things to come (bad)? What’s your opinion on it?
