quake 7:56 pm

by MJD-S

4/3 across Kanto on the Japanese scale. Magnitude 6.9. No tsunami warning issued.

4 across Tokyo and Chiba and parts of Kanagawa. 3 in Shizuoka and Yamanashi.

Tsunami warning not issued.ell you what though the bugger went for a damn long time. I had grabbed EM and unlicked the front door and stood where the frame is near it, after checking I’d turned off the gas. I wasn’t expecting it to peter out like it did - definitely thought it was going to get bigger.

Wouldn’t be surprised if there was a bit of extra shaking tonight. We haven’t had many quakes in a while (as you may know from the lack of quake posts on this blog) - so it gets a bit nervy.

For reference: Japanese Shindo Seismic scale
