just some experimenting with timeline effects in Flash
So as I went to bed last night, I noticed that A Large Rectangular Red Patch was on my right thigh. It had been a little itchy so I thought that an insect had bitten me, or maybe that it was a heat rash thing from wearing stockings - which I don’t wear all that often.
However when I woke up it was still there. Still red, still rectangular and very, very warm.
What poisons could be coursing through my veins causing this? Some kind of weird Kanagawa river fever? Could I never wear stockings again? Would my leg fall off?
As you can see I can be very rational when I’m at my wit’s end. I had the kids on irc pondering it as well - but we were all stumped.
Then in the shower I realized what it could be. Sunburn. I had been wearing a skirt and boots yesterday when the Boy and I rode to Yokohama on the bike - and he must have been shielding my left leg from the rays. Hence the rectangle. And the heat. Only on one leg. Only in a rectangle. Through stockings even.
Sometimes the most obvious is the hardest to see.
